Aren't welfare type programs usually done at the state level?

Regards,
You know, I have called and reported several welfare cheats in my life. You know what happened? Nothing. The person on the other end of the phone was not even interested in the information.

Instead the gov't should offer rewards for anyone who reports a cheat and they are convicted.

Well yes but if you take a look at the stimulus package, it is loaded with funding for welfare on top of the money they are giving to the states for additional programs.

Mostof the money for these programs comes from the Fed Govt and the state over sees its distribution.

I agree! I love Michael Steele. He is amazing and has an outstanding record and unlike Obama, he actually has experience.

What a loving christian thing to do...jump on those that are already down...make you feel better about yourself?

Think of all those who are more successful and richer than you are...looking down their noses at you and wondering when will you EVER get off your lazy butt and make as much money as they do.

Isn't it EASY (LAZY) to rip on the poor and terribly scary(COWARDLY) to ignore the wealthy who have ripped huge sums of money off this nation ??????

You still haven't shown the stats on how much money goes to the poor and how much WELFARE goes to the wealthy.....don't be afraid , they won't find out you spied on them

what, specifically, is in the stimulus that you would define as welfare?

There's a HUGE difference between handing out money to a lazy freeloader who has multiple kids with the INTENT to use those kids to get more welfare and never have to work a day in their lives and helping someone TEMPORARILY who is making an effort to find/get a job and who needs the help.

It's odd but in over 50 years of going to the grocery store I have never paid attention to what anyone else bought or how they paid....and so many "I hate the Poor" screamers and whiners pay SO much attention and determine ALL their "facts" from what they see in a check out line ! WOW!

...I must have my OWN LIFE, mind my own business, pick my battles, don't knock my head on brick walls(welllll, maybe in here with THESE hardheads), and actually have my priorities straight and my nose in my own business.

I also, as an atheist , have much more compassion for the poor and those who find themselves in unfortunate circumstances than the "kind , loving" Jesus people.

How nasty, selfish, small minded, cruel, snobbish, self-centered can these people get????

But I'm sure they will all go to their "heaven" because THEY are so perfect!!!!

Of course being the richest , smartest, most successful people in the world I do wonder WHAT they are doing in HERE!
