Is white America threatened by Black female sexuality?
I ask because it seems that there are varying posts on this (relationship forum) regarding sexuality some quite risqué some bordering vulgarity, that people don't have a problem with, but I understand some people have a problem with my tongue in cheek reference to me being a little turned on by a Kanye Wests latest conquest/armpiece/, baffling considering the variety of responses to many posts on here.
Or is it that some of you just prefer to think of us in the negative, after all there are countless posts on here some from the usual suspects who always want to potray us as fat, unkept, miserable women with no hope.
Not that I ever thought having a Black president would change things.

What makes you think the responses you invoke have anything to do with your race?! Probably half of the people don't even know it.

Sexuality is sexuality. Once you stop qualifying it and self-segregating, maybe there will be more acceptance. As a white female, it's intimidating, because there's this sort of attitude that it's a whole different thing. It's not.
There is no white America or black America unless you make it that way. But with vapid magazines like Ebony cheapening the life and will of black females, it makes it hard to have much respect for that "individualized" sexuality. And when most of white/Latino/Asian American females exposure to "black sexuality" is being harassed by thugs at the mall, a lot of people look down on it. I don't think objectification is a good thing. I think if the cultural identity were a bit less in your face and aggressive, it would be respected a lot more.
Self-segregation and victimization as a whole is what creates these controversies. Stand up and be proud of your heritage, but don't place it above everyone else. Maybe black America should stand up for the intellect, self-worth, and beauty of all the strong women in the world...black, white, or any color in between.

Well said. I agree with Sierra, too.

Oh no not me, but the thread was about a stunning Black woman and there were photos and a link to the story on another site. Beautiful Black woman sitting on the knees of a successful wealthy Black man.

Listen, maybe you ought to read my response to Sierra, before you start that tired old rhetoric about victimization. I'm the last person you would label a victim or would want to be considered a victim. I'm not an American but I'll tell you this, the self segregation you speak of in some cases are initiated by Blacks themselves, but don't dare tell me to "stand up for the intellect, self-worth, and beauty of all the strong women in the world...black, white, or any color in between". Those are all things I stand for and I don't need a stranger to tell me otherwise. If this eutopia you think exists, why is it Black models still have a hard time getting on to covers of the magazines "that really count"?
FYI I don't read Ebony nor do I read any other magazines geared towards women...Last time I picked up a Cosmo had to be about 15 years ago.
It seems whenever these questions are brought to the front, it's usually met with the same old crap, about having a chip on ones shoulder.

Blame it on the uptight southern white baptists on city data.

Some people are just threatened, period. Any guy who's threatened by a woman being turned on by another woman just has a limited imagination.

Well, I feel "they" say that about all races of women in general.
I just want people to be happy on City-Data. I get so tired of reading unhappy people's comments.
I work with all races of people at my current work, including black people.
Some of the people in my apartment building are black!
This semester I am attending an English Composition class at college which is taught by a black professor.
Can't we all just get along?

What the heck are you talking about? What does Kayne West, "white America", black females, threatening sexuality, negative comments have to do with anything? How about tying everything together and bringing on home so that we understand what you're talking about.
