Anyone catch frontline tonight. It was about the financial crisis and it was telling to see what was going on behind the scenes and why they made certain decisions. If you want to see it here is the link.

Yeah, and that's just delusional thinking on their part. When the food runs out in the cities, the people from the cities will simply migrate to the country and take their food away from the country folk. And those guys shouldn't get any kind of "Omega Man" or "me against the world" kind of heroic scenarios in their heads, when the city folk come to take their food from them, they'll do it with little to no effort at all.

15 boxes of cereal, 15 jugs of water, and a 60-day supply of multivitamins can probably get you through 60 days with no problem.

Good lord lol. I am discussing end of the world scenarios on an internet forum. Funny stuff. Fow what it's worth, I don't see us "collapsing"

Somehow I just can't picture city folks driving aimlessly in the country looking for food..do they even know what food growing in the ground looks like ?

Will the city folks kill and butcher that cow in the pasture ?
Will they think to go after that 50lb sack of hard red wheat ?

The doomers are NOT about stocking the shelves with Cheerio's you know

You are so right, we city folks don't have gardens, so god knows we wouldn't know what real food would look like. I suppose we could ask all those city folks who left the farm years ago.

I mentioned that because one time I had a visitor ask me why I hadn't pulled that "big patch of weeds" beyond my yard. I told them those were onions growing and not weeds. They didn't believe me until I pulled one up to show them..they had only ever seen onions in the store.

Nah, to easy to keep you out. To get to the country you have to come off the Interstate and get on a two-lane road. We'd just set up defenses there and it would be like shooting fish in a barrel.

The city folk would turn on each other first whereas the country folk would at least have time to organize a defense.
You realize what we're talking about? The collapse of the democratic American government and its replacement by tyranny and anarchy. A few years ago nobody would have thought this was even possible. That is change.
