It's public information and everyone who files for a concealed carry permit knows the permit is part of the public record. What's the big deal?

There have been cases in other locations where this has been done, that ex-spouses discovered the location of ex-spouses and then knew they were potentially armed, and used it for violent purposes. Thieves have used such info. to locate homes where they can probably find firearms to steal. It absolutely should be private information and these stupid papers that pull these stunts should be ashamed of themselves for putting people in danger. It's "concealed carry" for a reason. If someone isn't worried about revealing such info. in most states they can open carry.

what's the big deal??????? what about a women carrying to protect herself from an x spouse and now he knows...it's tell the buglers where the guns are...this happened in Roanoke VA and it got ugly!!! Folks with concealed weapons are not the threat. They are the law abiding citizens who went through a background check . Why don't they spend their time listing, in the newspaper, sex criminals instead?

No doubt the controversy is good for upping circulation...albeit at the expense of citizens complying with the law.
