"Owners of capital will stimulate the working class to buy more and more of expensive goods, houses and technology, pushing them to take more and more expensive credits, until their debt becomes unbearable. The unpaid debt will lead to bankruptcy of banks, which will have to be nationalized, and the State will have to take the road which will eventually lead to communism." -Karl Marx, Das Kapital, 1867

This is what's happening in America right now, yet half the population has fallen for $600 million in propaganda and hasn't a clue how all of this will affect them.

It has been happening for some time now, but it has not been the Democrat Liberals pushing for it. The last guy pushing for easy credit was George Bush, and before him it was Clinton. You can go back 40 years to see when it was that Americans stopped saving and started borrowing money to pay for things they can't afford. The amount of debt has been growing out of control. Every admin has had the same policy and the Fed has always been the force behind it. It is only now that the scheme is collapsing. It was just a matter of time, because such spending is not sustainable in the long run. The admins, Dem and Rep both, have set an awful example for the citizens. Unfortunatelly too many people are not able to manage their own finances. If people are offered easy credit they will take it and spend the money. Now they are paying the price and they are taking the whole country down with them.
