If a woman tries to provoke a man by hitting him, then she should expect the guy to hit her back. Unless you are playing around with your buddy, it's not okay to hit another man or woman.
Sigh.
If a man cannot simply walk away, call the cops, or find some other way to remove oneself from the situation (if it's in a house, go into a room and lock the door and call the cops. Hell, climb out the window if you have to and use the neighbors phone. If it's in a car, stop it, get out, and call the cops) then they have some issue with handling their anger. And if it was the other way around, I'd suggest for a woman to do the same.
I really have no respect for people (either men or women) who have to resort to violence to win an argument, to 'subdue' a person, or whatever. There is always a way to get around hitting someone; it's simply easier to haul off and sock someone than it is to walk away.

Seems like a bunch of feminist elitist ganged up on me.
You ask why it's a male female thing?
Isn't it obvious? What world do you live in?
A women legitimately harms a man and they praise her, calling the man a wuss, laugh, blah blah blah, and society goes on.
But if it's the other way around the man is always punished.
Hitting someone (a punch, a kick, a slap) is abuse. You can hit someone once and abuse them.
It's not a male-female thing: it's a violence thing.
Society just doesn't 'go on' when abuse on men happens. It's even less reported than male-female abuse because guys are often called wussies and wimps (which is not true, abuse is abuse whether it's male-female or female-male). There are (and have been) many women that have been prosecuted for abusing their husbands or boyfriends.
I'll tell ya what, I believe respect should be a two-way street among the sexes. I have encountered a woman or two that used the taboo *men shouldn't hit women* to their advantage. I call such a woman a crazy broad (albeit a different five letter word beginning with a B).
In many cases crazy broads are more dangerous than any man you'll meet - I say if a crazy broad hits you with a closed fist or approaches you with a weapon (visible intent to use)- if you have time, pump your fist and remind her that you have the gonads. If she doesn't stop its time to either run or give her a blast to the jaw she won't forget.
Gentlemen, you should NEVER hit a LADY, but crazy broads are far from being ladies. You'll know a crazy broad when you see one, its in the eyes.

Reason: spelling
I'll tell you what, I'd never want my son to be abused, but there is a fine line there on who decides where these 'crazy broads' cross the line. Still, men are stronger that could contain a woman, right? Or leave? I dont think either party should be hitting.
Please forgive any miss spellings. Overlook it and go on, K? K!
