And an impossible one to answer.

The word is "hostile", by the way.

I think it depends on the situation. Righties are good since most players bat from the right side. However, if you have to pitch to a left handed or bad right handed switch hitter in a critical situation (for example: there is man on 2nd and 3rd with 2 outs), the lefty can be real useful.

When I played baseball in my long ago youth I hit from both sides of the plate-left handed for right handed pitchers, right handed for lefties. I am also ambidextrous and find it more comfortable to use my left hand for certain tasks like painting the trim on a window frame. I don't do this as much as I used to, but I also shoot with either hand, sometimes just to irritate my hunting companions.

I am a lefty and it's tough being the minority. Even to this day people make comments about me being a lefty. School was horrible I had to wait until the brought in the special desk for me to sit at and I couldn't start on any projects until they gave me the lefty scissors which were horrible.

I believe many "lefties" and many "righties" care about this country but have different solutions for society's issues. It would be nice if we were to listen to each other without mindlessly bashing each other.

Being left-handed is somewhat like being gay. You live your life constantly aware that you're different, and that the world is built mostly for those who aren't like you.

At least people have stopped saying that left-handedness is caused by the Devil or because of mental illness.
