Default $8 a week Stimulus Cash: What will you do?

Kudos to the Wall Street Journal for publishing this very interesting article. It basically talks about the $32 extra bucks we all will receive as stimulus. It just makes you realize how absurd the idea really is. I will be using my $32 extra bucks to pay off the only debt I currently have, a credit card with a balance of about $400. Still have not figured out how making a credit card payment will stimulate the economy but hey, this is change we can believe in! Enjoy!

No no no ... don't pay off that credit card ... spend that $32.00 bucks ... spread it around ... if MickeyD's still has the dollar menu you can buy double cheesburgers with that fake cheese on it! Or perhaps buy a new car ... the automakers need to be stimulated if they will accept your $32.00 bucks as a payment.

I still think my stimulating plan was best ... but the President just wouldn't listen ... fire up the presses at the Treasury Dept and run off one million dollars for every man, woman and child, citizens of the USA ... that would be a stimulus plan ... banks would be flush again and could buy their jets, take their trips, give the big bonus checks, automakers would be flush selling the high dollar vehicles ... wonder how long it would take to go through a million dollars!

As I stated in the $13 a week stimulus thread, this can be the difference between eating and not for some people. Just because you're awfully cavalier about poverty, doesn't mean that it doesn't exist.
Don't want it, return it to the treasury.
I hope you never fall on serious hard times.

Unfortunately, others do.

I'm going to save the $8.00 per week ALL year so I can ALMOST offset the registration for ONE vehicle since California decided to double the DMV fees! It used to be $450/year, now it will be almost $800. Ain't it great?

Hey, we're only having a little fun. As for poverty..been there, done that. I used to feed 3 kids on $20/week. Guess what? I don't need to do that anymore.

No it wouldn't be long as wicked inflation would set in and a burger would be $50,000.

You can't print your way out of this problem. Especially using a fiat currency backed by nothing except good thoughts and feelings.

An open letter to the Fed and treasury secretary:
Bernanke, Geithner and the rest of you crooks, thank you for returning 8$ of my money that you stole a little earlier this year, just for that I'm going to stick it in this mattress and encourage others to do so as well.

Yaah, they'd love to hear that!

Ohhhh I didn't think about inflation ... just how to spend my million dollars!

Of course all the billions we are shelling out are backed by good thoughts and feelings and the backs of the taxpayers and their children and their children's children.

So you don't need it but others do.
You know how hard life can be for people, but you just want to have a little fun, at whose expense?
I guess it's fun to be cold and callous about others since you don't have to live that way now. Good show.
