What would you do if the top 1% left the country? (unemployment, Congress)

I was just wondering the other day...what would really happen to America if the uber-rich just....left. What would happen if they packed up all their things and moved to the country where their off-shore bank account was located. They can all just move to the Middle East and make everything over there just gravy since they are the reason American's have such great lives. All the rich-sympathizers can follow them too. Go "enrich" someone elses life. You have done quite enough for mine, thank you.

As long as we put a 50% tax on all the money they take out, let them go. We're smart enough to run everything without them.

Yeah, perhaps I should re-define my argument. What would we do if the rich and worthless people left America? Which sounds like an oxymoron but Paris does seem to exemplify that rather well doesn't she? I could not say that I would even miss her reality shows.

I would start a new business since the rich (Walmart, Microsoft, Murdoch - owner of Foxnews) are gone, there will be 100000s of opportunities for people to start their own business.

But nobody would loan you the money to make your business.. if they left, the entire US would collapse... because you aren't talking about just CEOs anymore... nobody would be on television, no movies, no doctors, no dentists, no veterinarians, no bankers, no financial analysts, much fewer engineers, no builders, no small business owners, no mass farmers, no politicians, etc etc... unemployment would be at 90%, there will be no food, no industry, no TV, no cars, no manufacturing, no coal mines, no hospitals, no ANYTHING... people are idiots, they don't know how to think sometimes...
