Yes, folks, it's getting worse.

Captured terrorists, brutally restricted by the U.S. to having only two strawberries in their shortcake instead of three for dessert after dinner, have now been cut down to one.

It's enough to make a terrorist consider another line of work.

(No truth to the rumor that that was the whole idea.)

Exclusive: Lawyer says Guantanamo abuse worse since Obama

by Luke Baker

LONDON (Reuters) - Abuse of prisoners at Guantanamo Bay has worsened sharply since President Barack Obama took office as prison guards "get their kicks in" before the camp is closed, according to a lawyer who represents detainees.

Moderator cut: Inappropriate Remarks

From your link:

He stressed the mistreatment did not appear to be directed from above, but was an initiative undertaken by frustrated U.S. army and navy jailers on the ground. It did not seem to be a reaction against the election of Obama, a Democrat who has pledged to close the prison camp within a year, but rather a realization that there was little time remaining before the last 241 detainees, all Muslim, are released.

If you were a current occupant of Guantanamo, would you rather live in Guantanamo or in Rikers/Sing Sing? The way I see it, you got your soccer, your specially prepared meals, nice outdoor temps and nobody (because they are all Muslim) trying to make you their girlfriend in Guantanamo.

Walsh said his review looked at 20 allegations of abuse, 14 of which were substantiated, but he did not go into details. Generally he said the abuse ranged from "gestures, comments, disrespect" to "preemptive use of pepper spray."

Doesn't it make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside, knowing that terrorists have lawyers looking out for their "rights?"

Everyone keeps calling him a "terrorist", yet he was not charged or convicted of any crime.

He had evidence of limbs that had been dislocated over and over, pressure sores all over his body... and never charged with or convicted of any crime.

I'd get a lawyer too.

Reading for comprehension is fundamental.
