And your point is?

All politicians lie. Republicans are the worst. I don't need to go into details. There are just too much lies.

Pelosi and the democrats are not much better. But they tend to lean toward the middle class than the republicans.

Let's see the video!!

I don't disagree with you that ALL politicians lie, but your willingness to dismiss this because "they all do it" is NO GOOD! It's obvious that you really don't believe that anyway... The statement "Republicans are the worst" exposes your bias and intellectual dishonesty....

Take a look at your Dear Leader's words during his Inauguration Speech (campaign stuff is even worse, but you'll dismiss that as normal campaign lies)... Take a look at Hillary's 180 on support for Israel... Take a look at Barney Frank.... Blago.... Daschle.... and on and on and on.... But Republicans are the worst right??

Here we have concrete proof. Where is the outrage?

ALSO, there is a reason why this is THE WORST....

Here is a blatant lie, during the worst economic crisis of my lifetime where the KEY PERSON INVOLVED in the bill meant to address this economic crisis intentionally deceives us about the excessive spending contained in the bill which in no will help our economic crisis...

So it's ok for them to lie because you like their constituency better than the Republicans?

This just becomes a stupid debate on semantics. Apparently Republicans wanted to pass a stimulus that does not involve spending money - not sure how that works. They also want to label any spending that they can package into a one line talking point as an "earmark" or "pork." Your "earmark" is somebody else's "stimulus." Maybe someday you can get past the semantics and debate the specific merits of specific parts of the bill.

WRONG! I think if you're actually listening and not preparing your talking points in order to keep towing your party line it would have been clear what the Republicans were proposing..

They supported TARGETING spending on infrastructure.. Mixed with spending cuts and tax cuts... That would not DOUBLE our defiicit and would actually stimulate our economy (which is fueled by businesses, not government)

Now earmarks are stimulus????? You can't seriously believe that garbage.... Call it whatever you want, we're talking about unrelated spending asked for by legislators in order to appease their constituency and/or lobbyists.... Pelosi understood what Blitzer was asking about and she put her hand up and swore that there would be none of it....

Now if you would like to stick by the retarded notion that earmarks are stimulus, I would be happy to post a few for you and you can enlighten us all as to how this will stimulate our economy..

Please do. And try to not be a [MOD CUT/personal attack] about it this time. It doesn't promote rational debate.

Spending money is all well and good but it needs to be as broadly based as possible. That would mean NOT targeting the programs to specific segments of the population. If you want people to buy cars then provide an incentive for all citizens including those making over $250K per year. Who do you think has money right now anyway?

Also stimulus should be IMMEDIATE not long term. Some of the long term projects may be very worthy and necessary but that money and those jobs will take over a year to cycle through the economy even if the projects are "shovel ready".

This stimulus package contains a whole slew of projects that are meant to pay back Obama's supporters for getting him elected. A true stimulus package spreads money out to all segments of the economy, not just the folks that liked Obama.

Some conservatives seem to be arguing that the stimulus was too broad. That aside, specifics are much more effective when trying to make a point. So far the only specific "pork" or "earmark" I've heard mentioned was a wetland project in California. Do you have a specific example of a part of the bill that will benefit "just the folks that like Obama?"

Actually yeah...you do need to go into details. If you're going to throw out the assertion that "republicans are the worst", back it up.
