Wow, it didn't take too long for their kool aid to begin wearing off. They need another dose quick, someone on this forum surely has some they can send

They may need a support group before the month is out. They could gather in New York or Washington where many victims reside. The meetings would start: ďIím Maureen [or David]. Iím a duped Barack voter. And Iím mad.Ē
The ranks indeed are filling with the disaffected and the disappointed ó Chris Buckley, Maureen Dowd, David Brooks, David Gergen, and even that gynecological sleuth and blogger Andrew Sullivan. And then there is the very angry Marty Peretz. Their complaints are varied but expressed with equal amounts of remorse and bitterness. They all have been done wrong by Barack.

Rationalization for indecisiveness and pandering.

Maureen is certainly calling the administration on the carpet, good for her:

Team Obama sounds hollow, chanting that “the status quo is not acceptable,” even while conceding that the president is accepting the status quo by signing a budget festooned with pork.

Obama spinners insist it was “a leftover budget.” But Iraq was leftover, too, and the president’s trying to end that. This is the first pork-filled budget from a new president who promised to go through the budget “line by line” and cut pork.

Goodness, and it's not just Dowd. The article contains a whole bunch of disaffected libs! Obama better watch his back -- there's nothing scarier and more vindictive than a ticked-off lib!

I suspect the Mo has been had many many times. Just no one wants to admit to it.

Good for her, good for everyone who's chiming in with something thoughtful. Praise, criticism, agreement, disagreement...it's all welcomed. Which was the point of the post. Anything that goes beyond the endless, hollow, braindead, repetition of the right-wing talking point du jour has at least some potential for being something useful.

Let's see...

The far-right is angry.

The far-left is angry.

I'd say that's perfect. Things are looking up.

Particularly when contrasted with the endless, hollow, braindead repetition of the left-wing talking point du jour on the other side of the fold in the NYT...
