Appears Mr. Geithner's wishes are having to be reconsidered, eh?
Quote:
WASHINGTON – The person Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner wanted as his chief deputy withdrew from consideration Thursday, dealing a setback to the agency as it struggles to address the worst financial crisis in decades.
Annette Nazareth, a former senior staffer and commissioner with the Securities and Exchange Commission, made "a personal decision" to withdraw from the process, according to a person familiar with her decision.

This has been coming in politcs for soemtime. Loo at the number of vacanies in the Bush administrtion thru 8 years. The game for 8 years was that any and everything can be used to stop a confirmation if the other party wants. How its coming to roost on the Democrats. Many people just don't want to go thru the process and many know the chance are slim if they have anything against them if the other party doesn't want you. That's modern politcs.
Tax cheating is a requirement. It shows you're human and make mistakes, offsetting the elitist undertone.
