I think it is shameful and a product of organized religion. And make no mistake, it is not just the Muslims that think women are 2nd class people with no rights. If the religious nutcases in this country get their way, we will be doing the same things.

Not because he thought they struck us on 9/11 and not because of WMD's. So is GWB going to be prosecuted for all these men and women sent to death for no reason? I think not!
Saddam Hussein executed 600,000 civilians in Iraq. In one operation alone Saddam killed 100,000 Kurdish Iraqis. You may not like that the U.S. gets involved in matters that are not directly ours, but this sort of terrorism spreads like wildfire and would have only grown worse affecting us in a much bigger way on our own soil.

Thank God that in America we do not promote or allow women to be treated and abused. Women are every bit as equal to men...well, except maybe Nancy Pelosi.

Not our fight. The US Armed Forces should only be used to protect the United States and those countries that are NATO members that share our values of democracy and freedom. Islamic countries are not NATO members and do neither.
If we want to be involved in agitating or arming opposition, that is one thing but to sent US troops to do "regime change" is another. Not even Reagan was that stupid. As badly as he wanted to get rid of Kadadffi, he would not do that. When the Soviets invaded Afganistan, we did not go troucing in there to run them off. We armed to Afgans and let them do the job. If what Saddam does spreads outside his borders and endangers us or other NATO members than collectively we can kick his ass.

Then it's really strange that 99% of this violence is in Islamic countries. Could it be possible there's a connection?

You fail to accept that Congress voted overwhelmingly to invade Iraq...and [just] one of the many factors that justified our military action in Iraq was the Iraq Liberation Act of 1998, which reiterated that it should be the policy of the United States to remove the Saddam Hussein regime and promote a democratic replacement.

Are you freaking nuts!Like any other dictator he went after his people but we haven't been going after any of them in the last 8 years. Libya, Saudi Arabia,China,N.Korea? We went after Iraq like I said before because George H.W (Senior) had a problem with Sadam, so Georgie boy wanted ANY reason to go after him for daddy. Please no more ridiculous comments. There are tons of countries doing this but dumbass did this ONLY because of personal issues and for NO other reason.Thank that idiot for sacrificing over 3000 innocent lives!

This was a Republican majority(congress) and if you read into the liberation act it's a simple anit-terrorist document. It doesn't say anything about blaming them for 9/11 when his advisors ALL told him it wasn't Iraq. We were supposed to remove him based on opportunity and not initiate an all out war!

Of course no one is going to be in favor of what happens over there so what's the point? It seems the point here is to define an enemy and focus our anger towards them. This is not constructive. Victims exist everywhere and under all regimes and religions. You can't help everyone and there's no point to even trying. The best thing is to not be a victim yourself.
