I can understand that they dont want people taking advantage. For example, I work at Bath and Body Works. So many people come in and try to use the Welfare Card for cream.

Anyone can easily get a dollar and get something to eat. Food costs are not so rampant that it's out of touch for most people
Healthcare costs, however, are. AND if companies suddenly stopped offering coverage, there would be a MAJORITY of Americans that have no healthcare coverage and can not access healthcare due to the price tag attached.
For a buck, I can go down a buy a burger off the dollar menue.. and i can find that buck by scraping together change in my sofa seat. I can't scrape together that money to get my insulin.

No one advocates witholding food, water, shelter. To say they do is nothing more than fear mongering.
