Despite the tumbling economy, Barack Obama (http://www.newsweek.com/related.aspx?subject=Barack+Obama - broken link) continues to enjoy a honeymoon with the American public in the face of the most trying crisis any newly inaugurated president has encountered since Franklin Delano Roosevelt. The GOP (http://www.newsweek.com/related.aspx?subject=U.S.+Republican+Party - broken link), meanwhile, is viewed by a majority of Americans as the party of "no," without a plan of its own to fix the economy, and even rank-and-file Republicans are concerned about the party's direction, according to the first NEWSWEEK Poll taken since Obama assumed office.

Of course we all know that President Barack Obama has plenty of Political Capital in the Bank...

Yeah...and we all know that NObama is all about listening to anyone in the GOP who might have a plan to fix the economy. Nice try, but NObama is a disaster for this country with NO political capital in th bank.

Here's a quote from the article page 2

Quote:
The biggest problem for the GOP, according to the poll, may be that 58 percent of Americans believe that Republicans who have opposed Obama's economic-rescue plans have no plan of their own for turning the economy around.

Obama will listen to new ideas from both parties he has clearly stated recently in front Television Audiences speaking to the Nation. What he opposes is the same GOP Ideology that drove to where we are today. Same old ideology meaning tax breaks for the upper 2% and the free market mindset on Wall Street and no Banking oversight or regulatory measures. Like he said, give us new ideas.

Wow...thats a loaded statement, and deceptive too. Look closely and the quote infers that 58% of Americans approve of Obama's stimulus plan and dont think the GOP has a counter offer, when in fact it could be 100% of Americans disapprove of the stimulus but only 58% dont think the GOP has a plan...thats the MSM for you...

WHEN????? Which GOP had a plan to fix the mess that they allowed? Obama reached across the aisle on day one. The President did not write the bill.

Tell you what lets send Congress and the Senate layoff notices and send in our own stimulus bill. Both parties are to blame for not coming up with a package that will help the american people that put them in the office then their all useless.
