I'm typing this before I post. I wonder which racial slurs will get through the filter?

Edit- haha, one of the "bad" ones did. Had to edit. I hope you get my point though.

I wouldn't consider "redneck" a racial slur though; in fact, some people are proud to be rednecks!

I understand where you are coming from but instead of complaining about people being too sensitive, we should look at ourselves and see if maybe we need to be more understanding about why people feel that way.

I lived in the Ozarks for 15 years and people are proud to be rednecks just as much as they are to fly the confederate flag.

Hillbilly - I've never heard a non-white person using that word.

Actually, I'm an adult. Words don't hurt me. Hypocrisy almost does.

P.S. I'm not a self-described "redneck" although I have white trash roots. Also, Blazing Saddles is the funniest movie ever made. I wonder if it could be made today.

Edit: Also, there are lots of self-described proud ******s. Doesn't mean you can type it here.

That was OK, since he used both terms.

City-Data only let you spell out one of them. That's what I have a problem with. And don't give me the hundreds of years of oppression crap, either. Been to Appalachia lately? Never mind that most of their ancestors came here in chains too, as indentured servants. Indentured servants were often treated worse than slaves. Think of it in terms of how people treat rental cars, if comparing people to cars isn't too much for you.
