It appears that the argument (much like during the original O.J. Simpson case) seems to be, while the Constitution requires the right of council, any council who upholds that right is the in the same class as the defendant. Of course bringing public opprobrium on lawyers who serve as council to even the most nefarious defendant flies in the face of the Constitution's intent. But that should stand in your way...
