It is an old republican issue, which is "American taxpayers don't have to pay the bill, we will just charge it on the big federal credit card." Taxes are going up; deal with it.

There's nothing mysterious about Keynesian economics. It's effects can be debated, but spending must occur, and when people and companies aren't spending, government becomes spender of last resort.

Supply-side, on the other hand - that an increase in supply will result in an increase in demand - does seem a bit on the voodoo side.
An excellent post. I'd rep you if I could.

I'm a Democrat and I am hoping there is one in my area - I want to attend.

Heh, isn't it rich that these people who CHAMPION the "community organizer" prez just can't stand it when others organize and speak out? If THEY aren't in charge of the revolt then they want to disparage those who DO protest! They're sounding more and more Marxist by the day.

You seem to forget that there were quite a few Republican's openly criticizing the Bush administration for excessive spending and bailouts, like me.

Be glad that people even if you don't agree with them voice themselves because it means some people still care and won't let themselves be run over just to go with the flow.

Just because Bush or Obama or whoever is in current power doesn't mean people have to bend over and take it.The day that troops are sent out to hush opposition then you better worry.

Quite interesting how many of those on the left do not like dissent now....

Of course it was patriotic a year or so ago.

Hypocrisy and leftism seem to go hand in hand nowadays.
