What ideology failed? It certainly wasn't conservatism because G.W. Bush is not a conservative. He did some conservative things, like tax cuts, but he also did some non-conservative things so he is not a true conservative.

LOL I can just imagine if Mc Cain thanked himself. Or Palin! You are right, his fans think he can do no wrong. He can fly to Chicago on the tax payers dime to treat the wide to get her favorite corn bread, you can thank yourself on your teleprompter, you can give world leaders DVD's as gifts, you can appear on Jay Leno in the midst of an economic diaster, and on ESPN to chat about basket ball and you can crack jokes about Jessica Simpson's weight issue or joke about Special Olympics and it's all OK. Because you are "the one" the one who supplies the fans with Kool Aid and that is all that matters.

Maybe Obama should spread some of HIS wealth around... invite the homeless to a party at the White House, for example, or once a week turn the White House into a soup kitchen for the unemployed and their families...now that the weather will be warming up, hold picnics on the lawn.
