Rush--Blowhard or Thinking Intellectual? (drugs, Clinton, state, radio)

I see Rush as a total blowhard. His research on positions is quite lacking. His track record at making predictions is much worse than random chance, and his analysis of situations is frequently unfounded.

Rush used to be a good thinker, back when Clinton was in his first term, but since then he has gone steadily downhill. Maybe its being addicted to drugs, maybe it is arrogance because very few radio talking heads make the kind of coin he does. I don't know...but his positions are not well founded.

As a result of having such poorly reasoned positions, coupled with his very large audience, I would have to conclude that Rush is more of a problem for the country now--rather than the blessing he used to be.

In this thread, let's avoid all name calling. But even more importantly, lets agree to avoid disrespecting people perceived as "liberals" or as "conservatives". What I want to find out is if people agree or disagree with my statements about Rush--and why they either agree or disagree.
