Having combed a number of professional pilot and aviation websites, I can find nothing to back up the Washington Times story.

Somehow I don't feel safe thinking a pilot, flight attendant, or permit holding passenger is carring a gun on a plane. Bad things happen when a gun is discharged in a plane. I have no problem pilots don't carry. a good secure door is the best protection in a plane. If guns are brought on that allows one more avenue for others to take control.

I find the fear approach of safety to be unproductive. People in the US have been frightened into giving up their rights. It is outrageous what has been allowed to happen. If they scare you first then you will be more willing to let them take your rights... wake up and stop being afraid.

Now President Obama is quietly ending the federal firearms program, risking public safety on airlines in the name of an anti-gun ideology.
