this clown Dodd? He's a master of double-talk. I know he's a darling of the left, but c'mon, his explanations for his corruption and connections to big donors like AIG are an insult to anyone's intelligence. He should have been put out to pasture 20 years ago.

He is an embarassment to Conn. and the US Senate. Dump him!

I agree, but why stop with Dodd?
People keep re-electing Kennedy,Frank,Pelosi, Reid,Rangel, Shumer....

But what do I know, I'm from the state that allowed Obama to cultivate his mediocrity.

Its hard to get people to run against an established candidate. that's a fact of life just about anywhere in any election.

The history of political office is filled with those that commanded the affections of their constituencies, yet made the rest of us incredulous.

Coleman Young, Bob Dornan, Marion Barry, Al D'Mato, Cynthia McKinney, etc, etc, etc.

That isn't the party specific problem you make it out to be. There is a battalion of lunatic Republican Congressmen and Senators who I wouldn't trust at a PTA meeting, no less in political office. People will continue to elect the Congressmen who are best at getting them what they want, which is usually pork.

You make a good point about the pork. What did Dodd do to attempt to assuage his constituents due to his latest boondoggle? He rushed home to Conn today and handed out $millions in pork!

Rubber-bust comes to mind when I think of Strom Thurmond and Chris Dodd. Neither of them deserve any respect.

AIG=GOP

Deregulation is what you wanted and pushed and got and still want even as the country collapes.

Spare us the contrived drama about Dodd.

Look at what AIG did and the political machine that really worked with them
