That one's pretty mild. The administration is also demanding that terrorist attacks be referred to as "man caused disasters" and that the War on Terror is referred to as, I believe it was "overseas contingency operations" or something similar. If we don't use ugly words, ugly things don't happen I guess. PC is out of control with this admin.

Are you joking or is this actually becoming protocol right now?

No joke, sorry. Just seems like one. Napalitano (head of HS) is promoting both I believe.

And it's not "bailout" but "rescue".

Individuals don't have "debt", they have "credit". Isn't it amazing how they can change words so they mean good things ?

'Legacy', you know like an 'heirloom' that gets passed from generation to generation.

Maybe all the resulting "legacy" paperwork will be stored in a "hope chest"...a cedar one.

They are toxic in the sense that companies don't want to touch them with a ten foot pole, for fear of sickness of their balance sheet and death of their organization.

Legacy is pure PC nonsense. If they really want to consider some other term, then depreciated, volatile, high risk, junk, etc would be more appropriate.

I'd go with "junk" as that is a more appropriate description of what they are worth.
