Then wouldn't the problem be with the list, not with the restrictions placed on those on the list?

You would think, but not so. I know someone that's a federal employee that cleared all background checks etc. and was even trained to use a gun by the federal government. He was mistakenly put on the list.

I don't agree with that either. Enforce the existing laws. Do not create more.

Which laws? That crappy list has been around since 9/11 when Nelson Mandella was slugged on there. Suddenly Rahm Emanuel is restricting rights of those on some list that is a lame idea and it's a problem? Where the hell were you people in 2003?

There's ove ra million people put secretly onto the list, with many known examples of it being done wrongly (Ted kennedy, authors critical of Bush...). In this country you're not supposed to lose your civil rights unless you're tried and convicted of a crime that makes it necessary...

I've opposed this list since the beginning.

So, if you are on the no fly list, you lose your constitutional rights? Does being on the no fly list mean that one has been convicted of a crime?

I agree that the "no-fly" list is far too capricious and needs to be amended. I'm not opposed to tighter gun controls, but that list is far too shaky a foundation to build upon.

If you had read my post, you would've noticed that I specifically wrote if it was NOT a mistake
