The Radio Equalizer: Brian Maloney: Rush Limbaugh, Talk Radio Experience Huge Ratings Surge

Quote:
With Limbaugh at the top of his game, including a more deeply loyal audience than ever, the numbers were expected to be strong. The beginning of the Obamist era, combined with a direct White House campaign targeting the talk titan, however, provided rocket fuel for El Rushbo's ratings. Even to seasoned industry veterans, this data should prove stunning.
Just look at some of those numbers in the big-city markets.

When will they ever learn?

There is a monopoly of right wing radio in America, underwritten by the monopolistic, corporate owned and controlled right wing media.

One problem though: Americans are no longer buying the failed rhetoric of a drug addict or the party he represents.

Therefore, only the Kool Aid drinkers are tuning in, and Flushie just keeps on preaching to the choir. The rest of us laugh and ignore him, as well as the GOP, which is bankrupt of both ideas and morality.

What you have said about "morality" and such makes no sense, when you have members of Congress who have been known for having male prostitution running under their noses. Both sides are corrupt.

The TV media, and a lot of the major newspapers are controlled by the left. The trash coming out of Hollywood is produced by the left. The problem is that liberal radio is just too boring to listen to. You can give it a try is you want, and listen to NPR, but I warn you: you will fall asleep

Conservative radio brings in a lot of business to the stations, while liberal radio does not. You can see this with Air America, one which has been a loss to the radio stations.

Mr. Obama needs to learn his job and quit trying to tell others how to do theirs.
