really?
then it should be a piece of cake for you to provide a list of the vast multitudes that were jailed or sent to gitmo for the simple act of protesting 'under bush.'

go ahead.

I would have gone except for work, and when the next one is scheduled, will go no matter what....

But its okay for ACORN to pay protesters minimum wage to picket in front of banks? You wanna talk about "astroturf"...check your side of the fence pal!

I love it when the right is right (yet again!)

it's vastly easier for liberals to generate big turnouts at protests.

so few of them actually have to worry about missing work

What are you talking about? My point is that alot of White liberals disagree with Obama, but will not say anything because their friends will think they are bieng racist for criticizing Obama. I am saying that disagreeing with Obama does not make someone a racist. Many libs would rather die than be labeled a racist.

It isn't an either/or situation....I know this may sound horrible to you but the fedgov. is too big and too expensive,it needs to be reduced as we cannot afford to pay for it anymore.

The military could quite easily be reduced IF we weren't out policing the world.[/quote]

And who supported using it as the worlds police? Teabagger..

You still haven't explained how to pay for it without taxes.

Reagan didn't bail out Chrysler. Iacocca came with a viable plan, asked for a temporary loan, stopped his own salary and those of many of the top execs there, and then... paid it all back well ahead of time. Good old Yankee ingenuity.

By comparison, the bums at GM, who have shown a callous disregard for their customers for years, are, first, ensuring that their jobs, complete with bonuses, will remain intact. Many will take an early retirement, once their retirement income is safely escrowed away courtesy of your tax dollars.

I worked for the company; GM, until 3 years ago. I went to those annual engineering & customer satisfaction meetings, where they regularly dismissed our concerns, and those we brought to them directly from their customers. They were far more interested in where they could go for dinner in Vegas, and which strip show was best. And oh by the way, we engineers, being just underlings without any valid opinions, had to go off to Applebee's for dinner ,while they went to the best Italian restaurants in town. No cognac too expensive!

Hardly comparable to Iacocca's honest deal, but then it's easy to mislead the under-educated readers, eh? And if you can lead them to slaughter, hey... why not? There's lots more where they came from!

Until there's not....
Hey, with respect to tea-baggers being in the minority, one can only go by personal experience and opinion polling... like-minded folks tend to flock together so I'm sure your circle hates it... my circle doesn't like it but accepts it... and the public opinions show that the public is behind Obama on this. You can believe it or not; don't really care.

As for Chrysler, you can spin it how you like but the bottom line is that the government inserted itself and helped to fund a private company in order to keep it afloat. That was my point -- the action is not unprecedented and is far from socialism in my opinion... although it is to others.

Sorry I rant when I hear that

I am just so sick of that so I was just putting it out there basically. lol

I know that many are not racist simply for not agreeing with him that was mainly a message that its getting old and they can stop calling us a racist.

A majority of "the public" doesn't even pay income taxes. What do they care? Nothing he does effects them except if he writes them a check.
