If people want to get together, pour a cuppa tea and vent their spleen, well, isn't that the American way?

Personally, I approve of how things are going. But if you're one of the people who don't I think have a cup of tea is a great idea. May I suggest peppermint? Life just doesn't seem so bad when you're sipping peppermint tea.

Or chamomile. Chamomile tea's supposed to be very calming. Seems like some people are getting themselves into a tizzy over every flutter of an eyelash--and every imagined flutter of an eyelash. So go ahead, pass the chamomile around, gripe with your friends, and maybe you'll calm down enough to see a way you can make things work for you. I'm all for hosting "calm down" parties.

I think the best thing about these parties is that it will encourage people to think about their government and how it is suppose to be for the people not the elite. It is about time people wake up and see that the government is no longer there to serve the people. Now if we could just get some politicians that believe that we would have a start.

Oh come on! The stimulus is for the people. Bush spent us into this mess by favoring the elite. Under Bush, the only people who improved their lot were the super-wealthy.

Secondly, Bush did spend way more than President Obama has. You should investigate all the promises that were made by the FDIC and the Fed. They committed $trillions more in loans and guarantees that are not yet on the books, and never were subjected to public debate. Bush was trying desperately to push off the economic collapse until after the election, but he failed (what else is new). President Obama will never spend what Bush wasted.

Bush shifted taxes from the wealthy to the middle class. Obama is giving a middle-class tax cut. Bush destroyed jobs. Obama is creating them.

So go ahead and have your silly tea parties. You're protesting the policies that will probably help you, while you voted for the moron who put us into this mess.

Boy the guilty are so testy. I am not comparing Republicans to Democrats. I am comparing a government of the people, by the people, for the people to what we currently have and have had for some time now. You partisan sheep are what is killing this country. This country need thinkers, not sheep. This country needs honesty no matter what party, not party politics, good old boy politics. As long as the sheep on both sides continue to vote blindly we will have the corrupt system we have where the party in power is the party of corruption. It is futile to speak the truth when the majority are too dumb to see it.

There are a hand full of good people in Congress. Most of them are blood sucking bums.

Next election ... vote out the bums.

It sounds simple ... but, dammit I mean it. If you want to change Congress, you are obligated to get them out.

Four more years of Barney Frank? Are you kidding me?
