My point exactly..

Here are the bullets from the plans presented to the White House.

"GM and Chrysler employ about 140,000 workers in the U.S. In February, GM said it intended to cut 47,000 jobs around the globe, or almost 20 percent of its work force, close hundreds of dealerships and focus on four core brands — Chevrolet, Cadillac, GMC and Buick."

The best option for their success was for them to file bankruptcy, but that time has come and gone.

Now we're just burning money and delaying the inevitable.
No, actually, bankruptcy would have been the worst possible option. There would have been no incentive for them to restructure and retool. They would have simply been relieved of debt without having to be responsible for addressing the issues which caused the debt in the first place.

What impact will hyperinflating or defaulting on our debt have on all citizens, not just those tied to the auto industry?

They can request it, but there's no contractual obligation to step down as a consequence with regard to accepting bailout money. Government/taxpayers going on a lynching spree is unconstitutional and is just cheap populist dribble.
A "lynching spree"? "Cheap populist dribble"? The capitalist bloodsuckers can cry me a f*cking river. You sound like King George.

It seems to me the automakers tried to sell autos and trucks at prices even their union workers could not afford. They were counting on selling the sizzle instead of the truck. Somebody will buy the remains and concentrate on selling inexpensive cars to an underpaid population. Setting prices that require a five year loan to make the purchase affordable won't cut it in this economy.

What a simplistic world you live in. A Bushie world, where everything is black and white, where "you're either with us or against us," where you either believe in rapacious capitalism or Leninist communism, etc. A child's worldview. Or a king's. If you believe the American people should not control their own government, that they are merely a "lynching" mob, an assortment of riff-raff, getting in the way of the capitalist kings--then move.

And it's "drivel," not "dribble."

Now, next disingenuous argument?

Disingenuous?!?!

Please tell me what mechanism is in place that would cause the B-side of your argument to fail? If it works in a "bust", it inversely has to apply to a "boom":

What a simplistic view you have considering my position on this matter.

Of course, all I'm seeing is government controlling the people with regards to surveillance, deficit spending, etc.

outBushing Bush!
