Source Watch mentions "The Memo." If we cared enough we could observe the day's talking points at Faux, on Rush, etc., and see how long it takes for the followers pick it up and start spreading it as gospel.

One poll found that people who relied solely on FNN for their main news source were 81% less well-informed than people who relied on several other sources, such as newspapers, magazines and books. I don't understand why the word "faux" is a problem...it's an inoffensive play on words.

And another poll found that 99% of polls cited in forums are just BS. You can make a poll say anything that one side or the other wants it to. They are meaningless.

The owner of a website should be able to set the rules. For instance, on this site and many others, swearing is not allowed (rightly so, I think). Do you think members of a forum should be allowed to swear because it is their "right?"

I wouldn't ban it. If people want to show their ignorance, intolerance, and bias, let them.

I don't know how many forums you visit, but you are going to be disappointed. Every message board I post at, swearing is filtered out (as it should be).
