Agree this really isnt about Canada is much as it the united states. Maybe Canada is less corrupt who knows but in America I prefer less taxes and I expect less from my government. Problem is we pay more then enough and government never delivers on their promises so I don't trust them to do that ever. I trust myself and a "truly free market" for a solution.

Thats fine and good.
But you brought up Canada in the thread title, so expect it to peak the interest of Canadians. We are a sensitive bunch sometimes.
I do agree with you on some points however, so not all is lost.
