When I see posts of this nature I am compelled to believe that such individuals believe there is one consistent action that must be taken at all times under all circumstances. In essence, there is One right answer.

Of course Obama is not paying anything down right now. Right now, we are in an economic collapse and he is utilizing the one entity that can spend in this economy to minimize the impact of that collapse and he is passing policies that seem to be digging us out of this mess.

In a few years, when we are out of this, he has committed himself to paying down the deficit. You act as if he's going to spend like this all the time or interfere in businesses all the time.

You're coming from a philosophical perspective, not a pragmatic one. Even Republican Jack Welch said he's doing what needs to be done when capitalism falters.

I can't imagine calling Obama a free market advocate with all his "Redistribution of Wealth" policies.
Massive government spending cut the unemployment rate in half between 1933 and 1939.

Even more massive government spending (the war) all but eliminated it. Government's role in GDP was over 35% at that time (now it's 6%).

You're just regurgitating campaign rhetoric with the redistribution of wealth rhetoric. As Republican Colin Powell said, shifting percentages of taxation is not socialism. The wealthiest will go back to paying what they did in the prosperous '90s and the middle class will get a tax break.

I'm not saying I agree with that ideologically, but it is not "redistribution of wealth" any more than Bush's tax policies redistributed wealth to the upper class.

David Broder is not a "liberal" in any way, shape or form. He's buds with Karl Rove! I mean, really, does anyone check into things that are forwarded to them, or do they just take them as 100% fact?

I've found there to be a phenomenon in conservative circles to trust propaganda emails that try to twist reality to serve an agenda.

I don't mean that as an insult, but I've never seen any but the most ideologically blinded liberals forward propaganda as if it is fact.
