It was a mistake on his part, but as long as he doesn't believe he's above the other branches government, trash the constitution, lie about torture, lie about reasons to start a war that's killed over 100000 people (conservative number), fix elections, fire folks right away that disagree with him and not know what sovereignty is, etc, etc, etc....
I can handle a gaffe like that from time to time.
I think a lot of the neocons, like the OP, are so desperate for "revenge" over the way the left and center (even a few on the right though) got on Bush's unreal number of factual gaffes, seemed like it was weekly, that when Obama does something like this, it's like Mark Foley finding a 18 year old intern in a mens bathroom. So they just go coo coo over it.
I just did a live search on MSN, typed in Obama gaffes, 600K results, roughly, type in Bush, almost 1.1 million.
What some cons are defining as gaffes on Obama's part, is a real, real stretch, like the "gaffe" with the Queen.
It IS funny...funny to watch the Obamaphiles get so riled up defending his inane rambling and gaffs....
However the number of worshippers will drop off I imagien once more and more people end up thrown under the bus by him.
I actually don't really see it as getting riled up. Someone presented something & others are refuting it. Isn't that what most of you posters want to happen on this forum? To present something & then have others either refute the claim or back it up? I don't recall any sniping or total bashing going on.

Well actually, if you had read this thread you would see some examples. But in the whole order of things, so he said something that may not be right on, something that really in the grand scheme of things doesn't matter. But I understand, because things were said about Bush, they too will be said about Obama. I have to say though, it would be nice if some of these things that were said were actually....important.

Actually I HAVE read the whole thread...and no-one has refuted it because it simply cannot be refuted...

Sure, nuuuklear is one of them, but there's a whole slew of others. A friend of mine actually bought me a book called "Bushisms". Yeah, it's annoying when people pick on little things because those really don't mean anything in the whole grand scheme of things like I said. Every president has a way of speaking that people make fun of...that's what SNL is for!
