Taxation with out representation. Did you authorize or elect people to spend all this money? I didn't. My ideas are not being represented right now. They haven't been since I was of voting age. I am now at an age where I understand whats going on and I wish to change it. These tea parties are a mandate for change in the conservative representation of taxation starting in 2010. The presidential primaries went on for two years, just think of this as a kick off to the 2010 elections. Its just that we haven't found our worthy candidates yet.

You have representation via your vote.

Theoretically, yes.

But my vote was overshadowed but those who voted one of two other ways...so to voice my objection(s) I can send emails, write letters or stand in front of City Hall...until the next election.

I am promoting and attending this movement!!
I plan on showing up with a musket and a pitchfork (for symbolic reasons only)...

And as one other post stated, I also believe that we do not have two parties, we have one government with two faces. The only reason for the second party is to make us think that we have a voice in the matter, and a nation divided is more easily controlled. Since I am of the working class, I have voted republican in the past, but now I see both parties as a disgrace and failure. I say they are all fired effective immediately!!

SPREAD MY WORK ETHICS, NOT MY WEALTH!!!
JUST SAY NO TO SOCIALISM IN AMERICA!!!

It's a tax revolt, that doesn't seem too complicated.

I'm sure some will want to nit pick and argue with that but most people can see it, sorry you can't.

Some of us recognize the difference between out-of-control spending on illegal, immoral foreign wars, and spending that is required because the engine of our economy is faltering, necessitating spending on our own infrastructure.

Bush took loans from the Chinese in order to enrich the wealthy. Obama is borrowing in order to invest in our future - just as individuals do when they take out loans to go to school or to start a business.

There are good investments and bad investments.

Understanding that, to me, is the difference between intelligence and idiocy.
