the op, who lives in an uneducated state made fun of states that he or she knows nothing about. I am from fairfax county virginia, which is one of the most educated areas in the US. virginia is the south. actually, what the chart shows us is that states with lots of minorities tend to score low. that's why the south is there, as well as states in the west with high populations of hispanics. as for the most educated state, which I think was new hampshire, they are not a democrat state. they are VERY libertarian. it's also funny that everone from those great northern states are flocking to the south due to high taxes.

Also chuckling when I was leaving NY watching license plates of ALL states clamoring into suffolk county long island looking for the easy money of real estate.
Maybe it's a good thing americans have become so nomadic. They're actually learning a thing or two about chasing around how the other half lives with greener grass & avoiding rainy days.
