So, you're saying he takes too much medication? Could be.....
Ok. I'll be serious. You make no comment regarding his comment about my lacking education. I correct him. You make no comment about his stating my degrees are in Fahrenheit and Celsius. I correct him. You make no comment about his calling me a liar. You impy I'm arrogant because I defend my self? Too funny!!!
Palin said "We Alaskans are living with the changes that you are observing in Washington. The dramatic decreases in the extent of summer sea ice, increased coastal erosion, melting of permafrost, decrease in alpine glaciers and overall ecosystem changes are very real to us"
Ah, I see that the Shining Star of the Republican Party continues to position herself for that run at the White House in 2012. Is there anything she won't acknowledge in the effort to extend her 15 minutes of fame?
I am really suprised that she admitted noticing the local effects of global climate change. I am not suprised she noticed, just suprised she admitted it.

Nope she is not or is she is doesn't care. I already posted a link to what the Alaskan Natives think of Wailin's choice for AG. I live on an island that is more than 99% Alaskan Native and I bear witness that the people here depend greatly on subsistence from hunting and fishing. Hunting and fishing are not a hobby or a sport, they are a survival necessity. [End Quote]
Didn't I just see a story about an Indian tribe (could have originated from Canada). They have a ritual (their cultural heritage) that says they must slaughter a whale. Back in the day, they would float out in their home made boat, home made harpoon in hand and go at it with the whale. This time around, the traditional boat was towed by a power boat. A harpoon was thrown and then a 50 caliber rifle was used to kill the whale. Ah yes. Tradition...
Sadly, the world has changed and many old ways have disappeared either due to exhaustion of whatever resources are needed or due to safety or other cultural influences. I would bet there's a better way to handle the Alaskan situation regarding hunting and fishing and I would bet whatever administration that's in power would put more energy into it if it meant more money, more positive press and a material increase in votes / support.
