Fantastic! Careful research has found chips of rust resistant red paint in the debris. Wow!

Can you really look at the collapse of building 7 and tell me that was not a controlled demolition? Come on now!

According to the engineers who reconstructed the events the temperature directly above the fire reached a point where the vertical steel members lost their weight-bearing ability. Since they were all at the same level above the fire they all reached that temperature at approximately the same time. That floor and those above it dropped onto the one below, which exceeded the load-limit of the supports for that floor. All of those then dropped to the next one below, and so on. The temperatures involved exceeded what the designers had anticipated. Had the temperatures fallen within the range that would have resulted from burning only the furnishing and fixtures the buildings would not have collapsed. The collapse of both towers has been studied in computer simulations. Given the actual temperatures from the burning aviation fuel the observed behavior of both towers was well within the parameters of their design.

Yeah, that's true.

Yes, and they survived the impact. What they weren't designed for was to survive the impact and massive fire.

Yes, and I AM an engineer.

Maybe it was NYPD suicide bombers - I hear they found their body parts in the rubble. Or maybe suicide investment bankers who decided not to wait for the 2008 meltdown. I hear they found them too. Those make far more sense than two fuel-laden aircraft weighing 250K each pounds crashing into the building and creating a blazing inferno.

For those interested, read this month's Popular Science about creating an oxygen torch capable of cutting steel using bacon and cucumbers. That is what caused the buildings to collapse. After ignition, the elevator shafts fed the fire. Carpet, furniture, office equipment, etc. provided the fuel which superheated. The steel melted in the middle of the building. When it gave way, the upper stories fell straight down. The pressure was too much for the building to bear, and it collapsed.

Or then again, maybe it was suicide bombers!

Well then, lets ban the bacon and cucumbers. Ann Coulter is going to take this really hard!

Well let me revise my previous statement from

"I just think there are a few disturbed individuals that can't accept reality"

to:

"I just think there are a few disturbed individuals that can't accept reality and some that failed Chemistry and Physics in high school"

They were built to withstand impact by a small plane not a fully fueled 747.
