Default Governor Says Texans May Want to Secede From Union

AUSTIN, Texas -- Texas Gov. Rick Perry fired up an anti-tax "tea party" with his stance against the federal government and for states' rights. Perry told the Austin crowd Wednesday that officials in Washington have abandoned the country's founding principals. During his speech to hundreds in a U.S. flag-waving crowd, there were several shouts of "Secede!"

Perry suggested Texans might at some point get so fed up they would want to secede from the union.

Texans have been screaming about leaving the Union ever since the day it joined the Union. How can anyone take them seriously?

Perry's whipping up his base. He turned down the stimulus money, so he needs to resort to fear-baiting to distract the voters and keep their votes. Too bad for those poor folks in Galveston, whom the stimulus money really could have helped.

Texas should stay. California needs to go. That state is a disaster.

Sure, why not... let's all just seceed from the Union... anarchy! Seperate the States!

Whatever... the union of all our differences is what makes our country the greatest country in the World. Without such a union of differing color, culture, creed, and opinions... we could be like Autralia or some other country that is uniform in culture, ethnicity, economies, and uniformed opinion.

If reckless government spending continues, several states will want out. It's a completely unsustainable timebomb.

50 years ago, Government spending was 28.77% of economy. 10 years ago it was 33.42% of economy.
OBAMA wants to make it almost 45% of the economy this year

Not the same country that became so great during the 20th century. Just ask any foreigner... or liberal.
