The States can always join up later, with the express agreement to not use in any way, faux money.

"No state shall make anything but gold and silver coin, or a currency guaranteed with any agreed upon transferable commodity, a tender in payment of debts."

I have had a similar idea myself. I wouldn't call it secession though, I would call it the TRUE Union standing up to the the DC heiarchy, actually unifying, not disbanding per se. If the states would stand together, as a union, and tell DC to get their act together, or just outright fire them and start fresh it would be more effective than breaking up piecemeal. Let the boys in Washington know that the power actually lies with the states and the people and that the days of blind faith and trust in the politicians is over. No more carte blanche and blank checks.

This is an idea I've long had...every state secede and form a new union. We already know now what needs to be done to prevent the problems we've ended up with (namely, narrowing interstate commerce clause, making Bill of Rights more clear than it already is that there may be no exceptions, etc.). I'd be more willing to tolerate states like CA, MA, NY, NJ et al in the union, if I knew they couldn't foist their ideas onto me.

LOLOL... is this a board to discuss real-life politics or am I stuck in a game of World of Witchcraft where you can make up universes and rules as you go along?

You're confusing my adrenal and nad glands.

Thumbs down Rebels Go Home!

How about all the Republican states succeed? I think America could live quite nicely without the "Party of the South"

I think it's a great idea. An even better one would be to leave the liberal states in the hands of the liberals, the red states in the hands of conservatives and deny entry to liberals into the red states after the liberals have successfully destroyed the blue states with their liberal policies.

Kinda what's happening now - the liberals flooding into red states because they cannot tolerant the high taxes anymore.

That way, America can unload the 8th most needy states [all in the South] who drain the U.S. in resources & patience. They're like ugly step-children who refuse to learn. Now go to your room this very instant, you obstinate brats. No dinner for you. Don't back talk. Go. Go to your room!

That's how it is with Republicans; little children minds & spoiled from all the government handouts!
