Agreed. I would ask would you rather have a doctor perform surgery on you who was the best regardless of race or one that got the job because he is a minority and not the best? Easy answer for me, but I guess others would disagree.

A test doesn't necessarily measure who is best for the job. There are other considerations.
Don't hold me to it but the written test was 50% and there was a verbal. The white guys/hispanics nailed it. The AA's did not. Then the city was freaked at being sued for being racist.
