THAT would be a resounding NO!
People have mass amnesia in forgetting that Bush was POTUS on 9/10/01.
He also had the benefit of warnings, which they did not think was dire enough to act on. These same amnesia victims forget that 15 of the hijackers were from Saudi. I have posted countless times before that after 9/11 Bush shut down the U.S. Military Base in Saudi which was the key demand of Osama bin Laden. Bush never "smoked him out of his cave" but did cave to Osama's demands. If there has not been another attempt at an attack that is most likely the reason why.

globeandmail.com: U.S. military quits Saudi Arabia (http://www.theglobeandmail.com/servlet/story/RTGAM.20030429.wxsaud0430/BNStory/International - broken link)

"But the U.S. pullout has sweeping political significance for Saudi-U.S. relations, which have been especially fraught since the terrorist attacks on the United States of Sept. 11, 2001. It emerged that 15 of the 19 suicide hijackers were Saudi nationals, and that there was both official and unofficial Saudi support for radical Islamic schools considered a breeding ground for anti-Western terrorists."

Funny, I don't see any mention of Iraq attacking us in the article.

So obama intentionally deleted information from the memos of his own National Intelligence Director. Did he think no one would notice?
Ahhhh, now it seems Cheney REALLY wants the CIA to release documents so he can use them in his "memoirs".......LOL

Dark Dick is actually going to write his "memoirs"....

So is Cheney, et al., REALLY concerned about a compromise of national security by the initial release of documents regarding torture, or is Cheney trying to save face, stop further investigation, or is good ole DICK actually thinking he will make money AND change the view history will take of him by writing his memoirs........and he thinks he needs CIA files to do it?
Releasing documents present a national security rish, OR, releasing documents will be an advantage to Cheney in writing his book? GREED shows its face yet again. LOL Greed and self-interest, his most glaring traits.

Cheney wants CIA files for memoir - Mike Allen and Josh Gerstein - POLITICO.com

"The conflict represents an unusual turnabout. In the Bush administration, Cheney was an adamant force for asserting executive privilege—the principle that presidents should be able to keep its documents and decision-making processes secret. In this case, he is presenting himself as an advocate for public disclosure"

Love it!

Let's see if obama has the acorns now that he has been called on his politicization of our national security.

DRUDGE REPORT: Cheney Calls For More CIA Reports To Be Declassified 2009®

Let's see what the coward who is in the WH has to say now.

Cheney is so far in denial that he can't see over the rim.

Those who continue to listen to him are, too.

Face it, Dickey-bird. you had your shining moment in the spotlight. And you barfed on the stage.

This weasel has started squealing because The Senate Armed Services Committee has issued their report and the extent of their lies is showing. It says Cheney was advised against the torture in the strongest possible terms by his top advisors in both the military and intelligence. He chose to "go to the darkside" as he put it at the time. It's gotten to be about as much fun as torture can be, now that they have started to rat each other out. Even Rumsfeld emerged long enough to snarl at the humans today.

Cheney, talking about National Security, from a guy that outed a covert CIA agent (something never done before in 227 years of this nation),
consider the source.
Cheney is a walking POS.

Seems to me that we were attacked BECAUSE of the Bush administration. Strange.
Did the Mossad have to torture anyone to get that information?
