are you suggesting that liberals don't demonize the oil companies?

Liberals demonize the wealthy? Really? You mean because some of them support Obama and his plan to increase taxes by a minimal 1 to 3%? This is just a stereotype without any factual evidence to back it up. Why point your finger at Hollywood? What about professional sports?
BTW, you mentioned the charities Limbaugh has contributed to, but what about St Jude's Hospital? What about the Hole in the Wall camps? Weren't these amazing foundations started by Hollywood actors?

Mel Gibson isn't exactly a bleeding heart liberal, is he? Yet, aside from his personal views, I like Mel Gibson a lot.

No, I never said the oil CEOs control the price of oil. If they did, oil prices wouldn't have fallen so much last year. A lot of investors lost millions. This thread is going in too many directions,

You may want to consider how many families load up in their SUV's to go spend 2 hours in a freezing cold massive theater in hot weather, eat tons of candy and junk that causes them to pass methane gas that causes global warming, drink tons of sodas that have carbonation in them that are also bound to cause even more global warming, and don't even get me started on the popcorn and all the CO2 released from the earth when farmers till the soil to plant it to begin with......
You might want to rethink how Hollywood is actually leading the charge in destroying our environment....

you're right. liberals have never demonized exxon. that never happens. also, I rode a dolphin from the US all the way to finland, for a tea party with the mad hatter. people in pro sports don't really have the platform that hollywood has. but, why are they never demonized. it's only the oil companies. now if you'll excuse me, I have an important meeting with a squid and a rhino.

My proposed income tax system would effect Holywood producers, studio owners, stars and corporate executives pretty equally. At that level the tax rate on all income over 250 grand would be around 80%.

G5s spewing CO2 and Jet-A fumes.
Catering trucks plugged into off-lot 110AC heating the low fat gruel they consume.
Tour buses idling day and nite to assure the comfort of the "artist".
Mega mansions using more electricity and natural gas than some towns.
Limos zooming all over LA and NY from one awards banquet to another.
Laptops, TVs, home theater systems, cell phones, BMWs, yachts, $500 jeans, diamonds from South Africa, cocaine, pills, Evian, etc etc all bought and consumed at near light speed to show-boat the vanity.
And the beat goes on.

So let me understand this, you know for a FACT that not one CONSERVATIVE who was also paying $4 and $5 dollars at the pump last year did not "as you say" demonize the oil companies? Or that conservatives DID NOT have a problem with the revenue that they posted 2nd and 3rd quater of last year?

With bonus, the CEO of Exxon makes much more than $20 million a year. More like $200+ million. Regardless, I'll reverse the question. Why do conservatives praise CEO's and villify actors?

What about athletes who make millions? I guess they're evil too.
