Just when you think the office of the presidency couldn't be more sullied, along comes the new issue of Washingtonian Magazine due out today with a beefcake photo of our fearless leader on the cover. There has been plenty of advance notice that this was coming and thus plenty of time for the White House to intervene and insist it not be used but I guess B.O. gets off on having Americans know just what a real "hottie" he is. How impressed our enemies and allies alike will be knowing that the titular head of the free world is so buff.

How about a little dignity from the Oval office? Sure, its fine for some rock star to be seen shirtless, but the President of the USA? Come ON! We're already being snickered at abroad...now this? Please say it isnt so!!

For those who will think I am one of those anti-O critics, I am not. I just prefer a little more gravitas.

Meh, JFK was known for his hotness back in the day. And he was able to back up the royalty image with a strong conviction. I know a middling part of the population feels Obama has yet to do this, but they'll see.

Actually what you prefer is a little more censorship. The heavily maniupulated photograph (his trunks were changed to red and the background was dropped out) is the same photo taken by a papparazzi during his Hawaliian vacation. Now I can only imagine the hue and cry if the White House has exerted any pressure on Washingtonian magazine to stop their interpretation of the photograph...

It's not like he posed for it. It's a pap photo, not really in his control, unless you want the White House to censor the magazine...
