For those who declare they could end a life without a thought, it's a hell of a lot different when you actually put a bullet into someone and end them, enemy or no. And it does affect you, whether you want to admit it or not.

Don't play the game, if some here want to know what it is like that bad they should sign up and learn for themselves, and they wonder why cops and vets do not share their experiences with outsiders, they have not walked in our shoes and hence cannot relate to what the experience is like personally and never will be able to.

I've always been intrigued by how taking another human life affects people differently. It seems some cannot come to grips with it, others can.

I wonder what it was like in the old days. Were medieval knights traumatized by battle? Were the Romans? Maybe even the cavemen?

When people dehumanize others, it makes it easier and more justified in their minds.

According to who? My regrets are not about those i killed. More about the ones I knew needed killed and yet were allowed to walk.
