I'm not arguing for credit cards. Just mentioned that there are ligitimate reasons to have them, such as business travel. And if the company you work for reimburses your travel expenses quickly each month, then, you're right, there would be no interest.
Not all rental car companies accept debit cards. Plus, why spend your own money on business/company travel? When you do that, you are actually loaning the business/company/govt money. Yes, some businesses and govts do provide company credit cards for travel and other business expenses.

Yes, you simply tell them its a credit card, works just fine..

Uh -- just make sure you put your thumb over the word "Debit" on the card.
Come on, Pittsburgh! Get with da program here!!!!

You say CREDIT, even if its a debit card, NEVER had a problem with doing this to rent cars etc.. The only difference is the fees to process the transaction is different, (debit has a fee per transaction, credit does not, which is why they dont take "debit" cards).

Pretty hard to see "debit" on a card when you make reservations online..
