U.S. journalists to be tried in N. Korea - CNN.com

Quote:
The U.S. State Department describes North Korea as "a dictatorship under the absolute rule of Kim Jong-il." The department's human rights report on North Korea for 2008 says, "The judiciary was not independent and did not provide fair trials.
So when North Korea doesn't offer fair trials, is that worse than the United States not offering any trials?

Now if Laura Ling and Euna Lee admitted to being spies or committing hostile acts under water boarding, should we then not applaud North Korea's use of water boarding to discover spies?

First Iran, now North Korea, its good to know we are in such good company and on par with the competition.
