What if it runs away, hops the fence, breaks its leash, etc? You won't be there. Anyways, the thread deals with pits, specifically. The mixed breeds don't have the same stats. Pit bulls are the ones that attack most often and the results of those attacks are more serious than with other breeds.

Waaa Waaa Waaa, it is so unbecoming to see all of you whine the way you do. Nothing wrong with Pits, just their owners. We could use the same analogy about people, what if they go out and kill people, what if they break loose and run wild? Oh yeah, it happens all of the time. Humans are far worse menace than any dog is.

Well since we can't get rid of the retarded owners, we'll simply have to settle for eliminating the retarded pit bulls.

Walked out to the parking lot of a restaurant the other day...as I walked up to the door of my car I jumped a mile as suddenly a huge roaring barking startled the bejaysus outta me! I turned around and 12 inches from my face was a pit bull in a truck(complete with "Amurcan" flag on the back).
They left an animal in a vehicle(sadistic pigs, I wouldn't do that even to a pit bull!). The window was open about 2 inches...just enough for a child to stick their fingers in to pet the nice doggie!
I resent being that close to a raging uncontrolled beast in a public place...outta be a law.
Glad my mother or some other very elderly person had not encountered this situation...instant heart attack!
Can't imagine living near these slobs

we've actually done a pretty good job of showing that pits aren't the ones that attack the most. you didn't read those posts, or are you just ignoring them still?
i've given you numerous links, quotes, and tidbits of animal behavior to read and respond to, which you have not done once. so, what does that mean?
my best guess says that you simply don't have a response, don't have anything to refute with, but reeeeeeeeaaaaaally want to hold on to your hatred of the dog breed of which you know nothing about, and so are ignoring and deflecting.
how accurate am i (if you argue that i am wrong, but then fail to actually answer questions and challenges, then i'm going to keep deducing the same thing)?

I am all for eliminating the retarded owners, and the retarded people who think just certain dogs are a menace.

Again.... ANY DOG WILL TRY AND PROTECT IT'S PROPERTY. Why can't people get this?? That has happened to me on numerous occasions. I had a chow try and break the glass of a truck trying to get to me, as well as a mini van with at least 5 little yippy dogs barking their little heads of when I walked by. Labs? Forget about it.... I can't even count the times that Labs have been tied up in the back of a truck howling and barking whenever someone walked by.
I don't really get the 'slob' comment.... would you have said they were slobs based on their choice of pet, or their vehicle? If they had that same dog barking in a $120,000 Mercedes would you feel the same way? Sorry some of us can't afford (or choose not to buy) a swanky car to impress people like you.
Oh, and my parent always told me NEVER to touch someone elses property unless given permission. You would think that if someone had a small child they would't pick it up and let it put it's hand ito the cab of a truck where a dog is barking....

Had a pitbull years ago and she was a great dog. Never bit anyone. My neighbor use to say she was scared that the dog would bite there kids someday. Little did she know her kids use to come over and play with my dog all the time. She never watched her kids so she did not know what they were doing day to day. When her home was broke into she came over and asked if they hit my house. I said no, my dog keeps the garbage away.
I now have two rottweilers and they are great dogs. My neighbor has become friendly with my 2 dogs and she said maybe I was wrong about big dogs. Two weeks ago I saw a little puppy rottweiler outside next store and I stopped and asked about it. She said they are so cute I had to have one for myself. So there is hope, some people will wake up and realize, not all dogs are mean. It's all in how the owner raises them.

the amount of condescension in this post is ridiculous. "amercun," "sadistic pigs," "slobs," etc. i wonder how many people can't imagine living next to you.
good thing some of us can look at issues like breed legislation without all of the arrogance and emotional baggage that you are bringing into the discussion.
i wonder just how accurate your assessment of the dog as a pit bull is too, considering how quickly you generalize everything else in this post. i kind of doubt that your hysterics were aimed only at the people and that the rest of you was perfectly lucid and rational at the moment. in fact, i would bet that a more likely scenario was a 20-lb jack russell terrier.
if you think that this is an unfair doubt, feel free to back up your earlier claims so that we know that they are more than just hyperbole and condescension.

Flat out, I don't believe his story. Too soon to really have happened. Notice that it happened when he is busy posting all of hate in this thread. Yeah right!
