Default Bwubble? What Bwubble?

Quote:
April 24, 2009 by Ed Morrissey

Barney Frank argued this week that he had always warned about the excesses of pushing home ownership and had advocated for rentals instead. Our friends at Verum Serum couldn’t believe their ears, because Frank has long been one of the loudest voices supporting the CRA and Fannie/Freddie policies that encouraged irresponsible lending. Here’s Frank making that clear on the floor of Congress on June 27, 2005, in support of the recognition of National Home Ownership Month:

YouTube - Barney Frank in 2005: What Housing Bubble?

YouTube - Barney Frank Rewrites History - Says the Poor Should Not Own Homes

Not only is he a liar, his team fans are not bright enough to see it. They are too busy pushing the blame on others.

This is why we never get anywhere, gotta root for the home team no matter what.

I don't see the housing crisis as a partisan issue. The huge housing bubble that ultimately popped was caused by politicians from both parties. Barney Frank is one of Democrats who contributed the most to the crisis. Why my state keeps sending this guy back to Congress? I don't know. All I can say is we have a lot of morons here.

I don't either. The partisans are not inside the beltway, the real partisans are the Red and Blue team fans that defend their players no matter what.

It's what is holding this country back. If it weren't for the D after Barney's name he would have been gone long ago.

Barney is a flat out liar and he blames others while his fans turn a blind eye and allow it.

Why is this partisan? Everybody was pushing for home ownership... remember Bush's Ownership Society? This is not the fault of one party, no matter how loudly you make your case.

It's an issue because he says one thing a few years ago and blatantly lies about what he said today.
