Bwahahahahahahaha!!!!

The UAW is for all intensive purposes a corporation. Highly bureaucratic and inefficient. So, nothing really changed.

Former UAW union officials are indicted in extortion case
By MIKE TYREE Associated Press
Thursday, September 26, 2002
A federal grand jury on Wednesday indicted three former United Auto Workers union officials on conspiracy, extortion and mail fraud charges.
Named in the indictment were Donny G. Douglas, 61, of Holly, Mich.; William J. Coffey, 72, a former resident of Keego Harbor, Mich., now living in Tennessee; and Jay D. Campbell, 61, of Davisburg, Mich., U.S. Justice Department officials said.
The charges stem from negotiations between UAW officials and General Motors Corp. during an 87-day strike in 1997 by members of Local 594 at GM's Pontiac truck plant

Don't be walking the Chrysler lots in search of a new vehicle unless you want Vinnie on your tail, baton in hand, ready to crack your knees if you don't buy. I'll stick with my Toyota or the trust VW Jetta. Tons better mileage and reliability on the Jetta anyway. I guess they figure the only way you'll buy products of failing companies is if you're bullied into doing so.

Should I tell him that VW is 28% state owned or does someone else want to?

I would take it a bit further; The UAW is a monopoly. We do not allow monopolies in the corporate world, why are labor unions exempt? Same concept, they take in money, attract customers (workers), and have paid employees. They should be nailed with anti-trust laws....

I'd like to know that as well. Harley is employee owned, and they've done quite well.
