I expect the "blue" Dallas, Houston, Austin, El Paso and San Antonio to have worse air quality than, say, "red" Jasper, Mt Vernon, Sandy, Round Top and Haslet. Its only logical, if you believe in it.
Now the OP is welcome to repost this thread in a more suitable manner but I'm closing it and not deleting it to serve as an example of how NOT to post a thread.
When you start out with a statement like the following:
Seems those big Blue cities are bad for your health. I thought you sissy liberals were all environmentalists?
Sissy liberals? What does any reasonable person conclude the following responses will be? Measured and meaningful or nothing but a series of personal attacks, a flame war, and name calling?
This is little more than what is known as trolling, which is where someone posts something less about discussion and more about illiciting an emotional and heated reaction. This topic and thread would have been just fine and dandy if reasonable language were used, do we all understand this as it seems quite simple to me.
So as I said, feel free to repost in a more suitable manner that is meant to discuss and not name call and what you all do within that thread (within the rules) is fine.
